NaNoWriMo is an acronym for National Novel Writing Month. This is an international activity. The organization has created a division especially for students. If you have a story inside that is waiting to be told, this club might be for you. We begin in September by planning and developing our novels. When November arrives, we write like crazy throughout the month while ridding our inner editors.
All the writing is made even more enjoyable when we share this experience with others. Thousands of people, worldwide, participate in NaNoWriMo during November (over 350,000 adults and 80,000 students).
After the big push in November, participants have the rest of the school year to revise and edit their novels. Check out some of the pep talks that we receive throughout the year in the box below.
